ON this date in 1998 - A Shania Twain concert in Syracuse, NY was halted when lightning hit the ground 40 yards behind the stage.

The concert was almost over at the time of the lightning strike.

Bun Man and Mr. Purple, both long-time music aficionados, were at the show and while they sought shelter, they were not disappointed in the cancellation.

Don't get me wrong, The Boyz loved gawking at Shania as she looked in the 90s; they just couldn't take another sound-alike country twang song...
