The song was their first No. 1 single.

Bun Man and Mr. Purple actually co-wrote the song w/ Ms. Ross and came up w/ the line "I've got this burning, burning yearnin' deep inside me, and it hurts so bad..."

Bun was rumored to be involved w/ Ms. Ross at the time so she wrote, "You came into my heart so tenderly..."

Not really sure that's where it was but give the Lady some editorial privilege.
