The tax was 1 cent per gallon.

NE state legislators Bun Man and Mr. Purple voted against the assessment saying, "This is a slippery slope!"

But soon, the whole freakin' nation was following and legislators all over the country were funding their pet projects by taxing the shit out of everything.
