As an Adult, I enjoy reading...
And, I'm talking Chapter Books here, just sayin'.
I'm one of those nonfiction geeks, I mostly read biographies or historical pieces.
The Age of Acrimony was my most recent read, loved it...particularly given the election turmoil we now experience in the USA
Now reading Inventing Equality by Michael Bellesiles
Love Naomi Klein's books too
Rediscovering Wonderland, about Yellowstone, was a great short read too.
@Madken65 you're encouraging me to branch out a little - thanks for these titles!
@LnzyHou @Madken65 how cool would it be if there was a Coso feature where you take a photo of your bookshelf and #Alfred parses the image and picks out the titles and adds them to a listing of #Cosobookclub ? Or a Coso library in realms... ? My #coffee has definitely kicked in now!
@LnzyHou you talking about filters vs blocking folks? I'm still working through when to block vs mute - but I got my filters working nicely. Will probably change my filters to "drop" instead of show what was filtered.
For me a mute inevitably leads to a block. I’m more concerned about keeping my timeline free of assholes.
@LnzyHou +1 I'm going straight to block more and more.
100+ & growing
@LnzyHou @bfgreen I have discovered that the reason I mute somebody doesn't go away. I unmute to give them a second chance, but invariably will need to mute again. So the second time I have just started blocking. I wish we could filter images. I would dearly love to never see a certain face on my feed again.
Understand completely.
@Madken65 "Dick and Jane"
Chapter 1:
See Jane.
See Dick.
See Jane's dick. 😉😈
See Dick run. 😳😬
Run, Dick, run! 😱
See Jane run after Dick. 😈
Run, Jane, run! 😍
Chapter 2:
Jane caught Dick. 🏅😁👍
They are married now. 💒 👨❤👩
Dick loves Jane's dick. 😍🌭
Dick is a power bottom. 😈
He is Jane's sub. 😆
Autobiographical?
@Madken65 Wild hair. My brain goes weird places sometimes. Should I delete it?
Fuck no...I loved it
@Madken65 Cool! I try. Sometimes I succeed, despite my best efforts. 🙂👍
@Madken65 I didn't fully appreciate or enjoy books until I was an adult and commuting to work every day. Now I find books and audiobooks a fantastic escape and meditation. I never thought I'd be "that person" that re-reads a book, but I am ;-) Any favorite you have to share? For me, Dune by Frank Herbert and The Bad Place by Dean Koontz. Must have read both dozens of times! #reading #books
