ON this date in 2002 - U.S. President George W. Bush approved Nevada's Yucca Mountain as a site for long-term disposal of radioactive nuclear waste.

Over the objections of Senators Bun Man and Mr. Purple, the last Dems to hold out, Bush would borrow a phrase from the NRA and state "Nuke 'em till they glow!"

Nevada residents were cool w/ the deal, they got a new signal beacon out of it as the mountain now 'glows' 24/7.

Bun coined the phrase "Put the yucky stuff under Yucca."

GWB loved the simplicity of the phrase as he had an affinity for simple things, so Nevada now has a mountain which glows in the dark.
