ON this date in 1869 - Edwin Booth opened his new theatre in New York City.

The first production was "Romeo and Juliet".

Since the English tradition of only using male actors was still very much in vogue, Bun Man played Romeo (of course) and Mr. Purple played Juliet.

This brought a whole new meaning to the term 'man love' and the Boys rocked the show.

They would have won their first SAGies if they had been around.
