ON this date in 1969 - Bobby Darin walked off the set of the "Jackie Gleason Show" when he was not allowed to sing "Long Line Rider."

Heavily influenced by his new co-writers, the erstwhile hippies Bun Man and Mr. Purple, Bobby wrote this song after the disappearance of 3 prisoners from the Cummins Farm prison in Arkansas.
