ON this date in 1976 - George Foreman KOs Ron Lyle in 5th round of a real slugfest.
Actually (...and this is no-shit real stuff now), the Boyz and I do remember watching this fight.
It was the greatest fight I ever saw, even better than anything in Seaford's back alleys or under the railroad bridge...

Both George and Ron beat the living hell out of each other thru 5 rounds, in fact, so much so, that neither could hold their arms up in much of the 5th round.
Bun Man, one of Foreman's advisors, recommended George get into a new line of work after this fight...
Bun said "George, you like grilling, don't you?"
