ON this date in 1966 - Neil Young, Stephen Stills and Richie Furay formed Buffalo Springfield.
Percussionists Bun Man and Mr Purple were all set to join the group but a fall out over whether the band would wear Beatles Suits or 'just be themselves' ensued and the Boyz moved on; later joining Santana.
Buffalo Springfield would be the springboard for Poco; Loggins and Messina; CSN; CSN&Y; Manassas; Souther-Hillman-Furay Band; and the Eagles.
What a legacy...

I love Young's "Tonight's the Night" LP. But, it is nice to move away from something that I find heavy / intense.
