(@AskTheDevil, I'm guessing, would go as a regular mortal - just for fun!)
I ask because there was a body of research a while back into online anonymity (using gamers especially), that illustrated how hard it is for us to mask our real personalities.
So when I show up in an alt-account as a cranky loner in a cabin, posting about the local porcupine and offering preservation tips...

@MLClark I've done similar and while I used to go for something that was nearer to 'me', these days I'm more likely to go with a girly mermaid type who misleads people who believe she's a bubblehead. Kelly Bundy with brains, maybe? 🤣

@MLClark I don't typically have an "alt" personality online. For most of my life, I've used the same email, contact info, screen names/nicks (related to my real life name). I behave differently based on different community standards - to some degree - (I tried to obey LinkedIn rules on LinkedIn, community standards in Reddit communities).
As "The Devil" I am vague/misleading about some personal info -as security theater- and I affect a different character voice and style of prose from normal.
@MLClark I only have an Alt name. Other than that, this is who I am. I'm not sure I could have an Alt personality. Just trying to keep my original straight is work enough. It's like when I play online games like Red Dead Redemption II or Star Wars, I can never play on the bad side. My moral standards won't let me.😁@AskTheDevil
@Tacitus_Kilgore I actually do have an alt on here, but it's very rare that I use it now. It's kind of a cosplay of a comedy character from the 1980s. He speaks with a mock "Southern USA" voice and he's a parody of an Old Time Religion preacher. His name is @BrotherLeeLove
