Going for ice cream. What flavour should I bring back for you, CoSo? ๐Ÿ‘€

๐Ÿ˜… So far I can't help most of you.

The flavours that *do* exist here (from the ones you mentioned) include chocolate, vanilla, pistachio, rum raisin, and coconut.

But I nabbed a bocadillo con queso ice cream bar, myself. ๐Ÿ˜‹

@MLClark I bought a tub of home churned chocolate-turtle-fudge today.
Trying to control myself.

@MLClark
So Iโ€™ll just paste this here and let everyone drool at all the flavors. ๐Ÿ˜

@MLClark enjoy your ice cream. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Here is a recipe for the best Thai style coconut ice cream if you are ever up to making it at hime!

Very good.. not exactly Ice creamโ€ and they serve it on bread, with corn so thatโ€™s different but surprisingly good!

@cjcrew

It's called "Menta Inglesa" (English mint) here. ๐Ÿ™‚ Less common, but not absent!

@MLClark Is it not as popular there as it is here? Iโ€™m a mint chocolate junkie, I went nuts when I first found Andes Mints, then when I found mint and chocolate ice cream, heaven.

@cjcrew

I LOVE mint chocolate chip. Possibly my favourite flavour when I lived in Canada. But mint just isn't as popular a flavour here in general, alas. Lots of wonderful fruit flavours we don't have up North, though!

@MLClark Iโ€™ve been getting into sherbert lately for the same reason. And also because our small supermarket doesnโ€™t have sorbet. I live the citrus flavors, especially lemon.

@cjcrew

Limes are much more abundant here (and make a great sorbet!), but there's also maracuya (passion fruit), mango, mora (blackberry), zapote (sometimes called soapapple), guanรกbana (soursop)...

If you ever get the chance to try a fresh passionfruit (or passionfruit yogurt) ice cream, do take it! And if you like citrus-y flavours, look for lulo on the menu if ever closer to the equator. (Lulo has been my favourite fruit since I got here. So good in juices!)

@MLClark Passion fruit is a possibility, It might be hard to find the other fruits.i should ask my friend, she teaches English as a Second Language at the community college, she has connections to that sort of information. She had several students from South America last semester.

Now I shall copy down the names because Iโ€™ll forget. And limes are my second favorite.

@MLClark What kind of fruit flavors do they like there?
