Also, inquiring Canucks on the lam want to know:
How're my estadounidenses πΊπΈ feeling about tomorrow?
Do you have something nice planned for yourselves?
Shut off the internet, enjoy a nice BBQ, toggle the on/off switch for the ol' US of A to see if it'll reboot into safe mode on its own?
π«
Just a friendly reminder that you're doing the best you can to stay sane in hard times.
Go easy on yourselves, eh?
Have a good one with loved ones &/or in nature tomorrow, however you choose to spend it.
@MLClark I'd offer to try troubleshooting it the old-school way (smack it repeatedly with a very large pipe wrench, or perhaps even a hammer if you want to get fancy) but (even if I wasn't far away) unfortunately I don't think that'd have much effect.
I mean, at this point, couldn't hurt to try anyway, right? π€·ββοΈ
@MLClark
A quiet day for us; the family together, a nice dinner from the grill.
Far from the madding crowds.
That sounds beautiful.
May there be comfort in community, and good food shared therein!
@MLClark It's 9:15 PM here and the local yahoos are already shooting off fireworks.
In Florida, fireworks may be purchased and discharged year-round ... A few years back, a drunk drove his car smack into a fireworks store. The whole thing blew up quite spectacularly.
Hah. You're getting *close* to Colombian levels of fireworks.
Fireworks are set off here... when there's a soccer game, when we *win* a soccer game, when someone has a birthday, when it's a holiday (of which there are many), when it's a Tuesday night and everyone's bored... π
That story about the drunk driver and the fireworks store does sound like peak Florida news, though. Well done!
@MLClark Here's video of the incident. It was here in Brevard County, of course.
I'm sure fire rescue stood back and let it burn itself out. There's no way you approach that.
@WordsmithFL @MLClark Stephen, it's 6:50pm and they are already going off here
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
@MLClark Beautiful beautiful sentiment and wise words for us all thanks ML πππ
