So this is definitely a flu. The symptoms came on super fast, and it descended from head pains and upper respiratory symptoms to heavy chest cough and an aching back/lungs area in hours.
I'm upright enough to do some work for the next few hours... with the intention of clearing my slate for the next few days of isolation and recovery.
So much for a day dedicated to immersive editing, eh?
But bodies are great at reminding us of our limits.
That, and they make some funny sounds sometimes, too!
We don't have rapid tests here anymore, so I'm not sure if it's COVID19 or not. That's why I'm going into isolation for the weekend, just to be sure!
Agreed! I follow the strains that are dominant in South America these days, and this doesn't seem to match the symptom trajectory, thank goodness. Just a rotten few days while my immune system earns its keep.
Thanks so much for your kind words, NorthernInvader. Hope you're keeping well yourself!
@MLClark well I'm pretty much a hermit so that's easy - I just wear a KN95 mask when in stores :)
Be careful - I know two people that just had it. One still does. Apparently there is an upswing in cases in some regions, these being in the PNW. Remember that within the first 5 days, Paxlovid is really helpful if it is Covid.
@BlueStateBabe @NorthernInvader
Different context in Colombia - right now there's more of an uptick of general respiratory infections and dengue, and *very little* reporting on COVID-19, plus a different suite of readily available medicines and testing tools.
But I hope your people stay safe! Good that they're making use of a different array of medical resources on hand.
@MLClark Ah - it sounds more like the flu so here's hoping
