Gentle #politics suggestion:
Just because the news is filled with a lot of ugliness on the US front right now, and will be for the next while, doesn't mean we forget that we're preaching to the choir here when we vent about one name in particular, who's become synonymous with threats to democracy.
Venting's healthy and normal, but we also don't need to give that news cycle oxygen.
We can elevate people making a difference instead.
We're going to need a *lot* of them to turn this toxic tide.
@MLClark I object to folks whose hair is on fire and they want to set everyone else's hair on fire too. This is a marathon, not a sprint. Now is the time to get home stuff done so you have free time and energy later-much later -to make calls, knock on doors, do mailings. Etc. Its a great time to learn what Biden has done and plans to do. And its a terrible time to be freaking out over TFG. Pacing is everything.
yes, this! so much more constructive AND it will be uplifting.
I will endeavor to find and share stories of people doing great things โฅ๏ธ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ @MLClark
@MLClark This is one big reason why I listen to The Stepanie Miller Show. It's progressive comedy and commentary. The latter goes down much better with a chaser of the former.

What else should one do when seeing a clown but laugh at him?
The TOS episode "Day of the Dove" reminded us to laugh at any creature who feeds off dividing us.
@MLClark Agree!
Politics is toxic and unhealthy because of social media and cable news. I encourage everyone to go about your normal everyday life and vote in November.
