Also, I did a meme on another site, and I should definitely have done it here as well. I'm using a longer form of my name because I want more movies - but I think you'll agree that these pair nicely.

Plan a horror fest using only your first name:

Mandy (2018)
Altered States (1980)
Green Room (2015)
Get Out (2017)
In the Mouth of Madness (1994)
Eyes without a Face (1960)

Who's coming over? ๐Ÿ‘€

@MLClark Just watched OSIRIS-REx land in the Utah desert with asteroid Bennu samples. Can't help but think of the "Andromeda Strain," which would be in my horror fest.

@WordsmithFL

Hey now! ๐Ÿ˜‚ And just where exactly is the "A" for "Andromeda Strain" in your name?

@MLClark There isn't one, hence I have to donate it.

Unless you want to use "T" since the movie technically is "The Andromeda Strain."

@WordsmithFL

The "T" counts. It's a great film. One of a very few with attention to the actual painstaking work of good science. :)

@MLClark

Absentia (2011)
Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979)
Night of the Living Dead (1968)

@MLClark

I did movie fests, but not horror.

Option 1: Political Thriller/Drama

Three Days of the Condor
Year of Living Dangerously
Gorky Park
Hotel Rwanda
Europe Europa

.
Option 2: Quirky fun

Time Bandits
Yellow Submarine
Godzilla
Harold and Maude
Earth Girls are Easy

So... horror:
Thirst
You're Next
Ginger Snaps
Hellraiser
The Endless

@tyghebright

Yay for multiple movie fests!

1) You're Next is SUCH a smart film. I went in thinking it would be a goofy ride, but it packs a lot into its concept.

2) I just rewatched Yellow Submarine a few months ago, and I've been thinking of doing a Harold and Maude rewatch lately, too. I love your approach to "quirky fun". :)

3) That political thriller list has some horror in it, too!! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ But great list. What a range!

I'll bring a full bin of cookies for the whole weekend this'll take! ๐Ÿ˜…

@MLClark

I love the cosmic/existential theme of yours.

@MLClark Oooh, this is creative, I'll be right over. And since I'm related to Jamie Lee Curtis (albeit it distantly), can I bring her over to babysit and carve pumpkins? ๐ŸŽƒ

B - Bride of Frankenstein
I - It
L - Let The Right One In
L - Last House On The Left
Y - You Should Have Left (pretty slim pickings for 'Y', to be honest)

@BillyBones

Jamie Lee Curtis is allllways welcome!

๐Ÿคฃ What a range of intensity for the films on your list!

@MLClark @BillyBones

Jamie Lee is going to be in season 2 of One Piece (Live Action) and I'm gonna pee about it. ๐Ÿ‘€ ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ‘พ

@BosmangBeratna I didn't know that!

I tried watching the first episode and wasn't really taken with it but might have to try again ๐Ÿ‘

@BillyBones

It's a big divergence from Western formula, so just try to remember: it's all about the fun.

@BosmangBeratna Well I know the original (though haven't sat through every episode), I just found the live action version a bit... lacking.๐Ÿ‘

@BillyBones

That's fair, I'm not all that familiar with the source material, but I really enjoyed the LA.

@MLClark

(The) Shining
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Event Horizon
Phantasm
(The) Haunting
Eraserhead
Nightmare on Elm Street

I have rather eclectic tastes in movies. I'm not sure how well this would cohere as a film fest.
