😂 I'm assuming you're joking, because I publish weekly humanist reviews of SNW at OnlySky. But yes, it's good fun.
@MLClark I've been known to be serious from time to time
Oof. Whatever for? In this economy?! 😅
@MLClark are you ready for Dune 2?
@elmaxx 😂
You say that like we don't still have MONTHS TO WAIT.
All the buzz around it has been fascinating, though. On the one hand, there are people still grousing about the scrubbing of the word "jihad" from the film.
On the other hand, the UAE gets big rep, so a real world empire's happy with this story of revolution. 🙃 #Hollywood
All the silly production noise aside, it's going to be great. IN NOVEMBER. LOTS OF TIME TO GET READY!
Whatcha watching in the interim to stay sharp?
@MLClark My therapist recommended From. 😆
I've been watching Barry. It's quite the rollercoaster.
Oh, From is genuinely one of the better horror pieces I've seen in a long while - and it manages to be so even while each character is a highly affected, over-the-top version of its archetype, with some on-the-nose scripting to match. Only two episodes in, but this should be a good one!
(Also: I'm definitely laughing at the thought of a therapist recommending it, but I have to assume it's for a good reason!)
@MLClark Good to know!
To solve the mystery for you, my therapist brought it up because I mentioned seeing Nope with my brother, and we got to chatting about everyday-word horror titles.
@MLClark give Strange New Worlds a shot if you haven't
it's pretty fun
also, i've heard strem.io may be a good streaming alternative
