This one is for my Colombian friends here. The flavours one won't see in the West!

(No, I didn't try it. I was out on an errand! And now back to work! )

Im doing the expat thing this summer and will be working from Asia where they have purple yam ice cream and a purple mcFlurry. It not a good or bad because all I tasted was chemical additives and sugar. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

@Bliss Oh, wow. I've heard that purple yam ice cream can be delicious if it's the right, naturally sourced variety - but it definitely seems ripe for artificial abuse.

What a terrific experience either way, though. I have a friend who teaches in Hong Kong now after many years in South Korea. So many fascinating cultural collisions. I hope you'll share plenty of anecdotes and photos along the way!

@MLClark

Oh... do I have a few of those ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜†
from when I worked and went on missions for the UN as a translator as a young college student. At the airport in Lima I learned that 'preservativos' does not have the same meaning in South America as it does in the Caribbean. I have since learned to ask if food has: preservativos quimicos en los alimentos (since I'm allergic to most) instead of what I asked that day of a chef:
if he used preservativos.

I still die ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ thinking of it till this day.

๐Ÿ˜‚ Uyyyyy dios mio! I am thankful that I never made the classic embarazada mistake, but that is GOLDEN. @Bliss
