Today, I have a deeper meditation for #OnlySky. I've been meaning to talk about religious superstition in #Colombia for quite some time, in contrast with the rhetoric that underpins a great deal of hateful discourse in Anglo-Western news these days.
But I was waiting for the right local example - which showed up in a wild interview by Colombia's Director of Police this weekend!

@MLClark i agree that there's a worrisome trend toward this rhetorical device to terrify people into compliance. a new dark age approaches. is this the "rough beast"?
