@AskTheDevil Sadly, it's my opinion that the lack of help offered boils down to skin color. 😡
@LowEndMuse It does feel a bit like that. Also, they're poor and don't have enough stuff worth exploiting. I wonder how many countries get "intervened on behalf of" and then find out it's so someone can stick a hose in and start pumping minerals or oil or something out.
I bet if they found oil, or gold, or uranium or something under Haiti, all of a sudden it'll be all "think of the children!"
Haiti is so heartbreaking. It's hard to know even what to do. There aren't any social and governmental structures in place to give money and aid to.
We still need to help, but I wish I were hearing solutions.
@LowEndMuse I get why it is convenient for the governments of the world to sweep Haiti under the rug, no matter how much the people there are suffering.
What I don't get is why so few people will do anything to demand someone help Haiti.
International forces interfere in other countries on less pretext.
I think some of that is down to nobody telling us to care. The media barely covers things there.
