@LiberalLibrarian I'm retired now but as a young librarian myself I was working one weekend when one (of many, alas) patron with well known mental health issues whacked some guy studying with a thick index book. (Yes, it was in the days of index books rather than computers.) My baptism of fire as a public librarian I guess.
