@LiberalLibrarian To the extent that all humans share all but a tiny fraction of our genetic makeup, that we have lived in the same communities on and off for centuries and occasionally interbred, sure.
Population-wise, there are distinctions. They shouldn't be important. Elements of both sides would happily engage in intramural slaughter to advance their goals. It's not about our differences, it's about the assholes exploiting those differences to advance their goals.
@LiberalLibrarian It's more complicated than that, isn't it? In biblical times they started out as half-siblings. 2000 years of diaspora has incorporated a lot of other DNA. Plus, it has been tradition that anyone wanting to convert to Judaism was welcomed. Descendants of these converts would not have the historic genetic markers.
