@LiberalLibrarian I am 65 and i won't do the jab!! bah not until they make it way safer and zero side effects. I'll take my chances.
@Imagix @LiberalLibrarian It's as safe as it's going to get. The problem now is it's mutating faster than we can create vaccines for it. It's a lot like the flu in that regard. I believe we will soon have an annual combined flu and COVID shot yearly to fight it.
As to getting an injection, that's your choice but the danger of dying from it if you are older and/or immunocompromised is likely much higher than any possible side effect. The risks are mostly overblown and pushed by malicious actors.
@danielbsmith @LiberalLibrarian Are you a doctor? I'm a former nurse. I know what the probabilities are for a senior like myself. At least I know how to take care of myself. I feel sorry only for those that don't. I have issues but am willing to deal with the known rather than the unknown ingredients in a vax. Have a nice day.
@Imagix @LiberalLibrarian There's nothing unknown in the vaccines. They are quite safe and do not rewrite our DNA. In fact, they cannot. mRNA only works in one direction in the pathway leading to immunity. Feel free to not take it but do not promote false medical information on CoSo.
BTW, if you're a former nurse you forgot to include that on your bio here. Have a nice evening.
@Imagix Is there any vaccine anywhere that has zero side effects? @LiberalLibrarian
@LiberalLibrarian I'm nowhere near that age myself but I've been getting AARP mailers for years.
@LiberalLibrarian
I've been getting these since I was 40 but that's when I developed chronic pneumonia. π
But, since COVID arrived I haven't had any lung problems. Amazing how wearing a mask improves ones health. π
