Story behind it: Her opponent worked to promote and make legal the farming of hemp. Hemp is allowed to have up to .03% THC. Kinda like the alcohol in kombucha.
Her opponent succeeded in his legislation and began a lucrative hemp growing business.
He sold hemp to a business that went bankrupt before paying him. The business, as it turns out, was not following the law, so he sued on the basis of the law to get his money back (thereby avoiding a

possible total loss due to bankruptcy.
The business, striking back, said that his hemp exceeded the maximum THC level. Is it the truth, or punching back?
This month, her opponent removed support from a bill that he had helped promote. Why? He felt the bill and its provisions were being taken over by the marijuana industry, and he wanted no part in that.
Who knows where the truth lies. That said, he is not the one facing charges for fraudulent hemp/mj dealings.

@LiberalLibrarian I like hot hemp. I have all of their 8-tracks
@LiberalLibrarian At worst, he was guilty of selling a product that he was not licensed for/not paying the correct taxes on.
I used to work in the wine industry. There were strict limits on how much alcohol a wine can have. Taxes skyrocket if it goes into the next category.
Sometimes errors in fermentation or mixing happen.
Whenever we got results over the legal limit, we were required to write results in pencil. And the product was reblended and all was legal. It happens.
@LiberalLibrarian
"Hot hemp"?
Is she on DRUGS or something?
