my reaction to this is "why are you still married to a Trump supporter, especially one that is passive aggressive threatening your right to vote differently? why don't you tell him you're going to buy milk, get in that car & just keep going?"
@redenigma Because the same people whose spouses are like this are tracking their phones, controlling their bank accounts, and are statistically likely to kill them if they try to leave.
They cut women off from friends and family, limit their careers, control their money, and make it very, very difficult for them to safely leave.
@LianaBrooks i know this... but if one has at least the freedom to get out to get milk (& i know many don't even get that), you could get to a safe shelter. it's very hard, though, more so if there are kids &/or pets
@redenigma It's possible, but it needs to be planned out in advance and you need to be careful. There are groups that help with this.
