Controversial Opinion:
I think "Tweet" should just mean "short form communication on social media" because I don't want a new word for each platform.
Dumpster started as a brand name, why can't Tweet?
@Idissent "Posts" has been a popular filler, but I think of them as something longer than what I usually put up here.

Agreed. The new owner of the bird site tossed the lingo out on the curb. I say its ours now.
