I need eight titles for this series (Do. Not. Ask). So far I have:

- Assassin's Kiss
- Queen's Secret

Does this process work?
It does for me. About 75% of the books my agent has and that hit the shelves were created pitch first. I basically sell the book to myself first, then I go and write it. YMMV
What's the process?
I have a vague idea about a beautiful world I want to write in and no plot for it so I'm:
- picking titles for the series
- writing a high concept pitch for each
- writing an elevator pitch for each
- deciding if I want to write it or not
