@Tattoomonkey29 I feel like I need to put this disclaimer: it was about 100F in temperature, but the dew point was 90F, which made it feel like 152F. But yeah, no es bueno.
@LiberalLibrarian And I'm sure that humans and other livingthings on the ground aren't doing math/science before deciding how they feel and what damage is happening within their bodies!! How it actually impacts living things is all that counts to me! and this shit is terrifying and heartbreaking and infuriating and numbing all at the same time!

@Shelter @LadyT @LiberalLibrarian I care about many humans don't get me wrong but over the last century plus far too many have by choice ignored the signs and chosen to "go along to get along" and did nothing to stand up for injustice and voted FOR the assholes that have kept those corporations in power from the earliest days of industrialization, through the robber barons and on to present times. Silence is complicity and while the bulk of responsibility is at the top, there is more of "us"!

If we had listened to worldwide indigenous wisdom and recognized that we are merely part of a living, breathing, absolutely self sufficient, fully self sustaining ecosystem and not put ourselves "above" nature we would be in an entirely different situation ,We are the aberration, the rat that brough the plague so to speak. I'm for mother earth :)

It is what it is at this point and what we do going forward is what truly counts. We are one of many species and as such are bound by natural law and are no more deserving of saving than the smallest insect or blade of grass or tiniest single celled creature!
