Hey coooooosoooooo. Later this coming week I'm gonna start an auction for the coso fund with this pen. I turned it using African Pauduk wood. It has a magnetic cap, and comes with a black ink cartridge and a refill cartridge. I'll cover shipping in the US, any bid amount is to be given entirely to coso.

@Kurtroedeger ooh fancy. found yourself one of the kits I've never used.

@Brisse I like the vertex magnetic ones. Have a lux feel to them, good weight, and a very satisfying click when the magnet pulls the cap tight.

I have the same fountain pen model as my daily desk pen at work and it writes nice. I've been using lami safaris for years now and this has now replaced that.

I saw a black version somewhere and I haven't been able to find it again, but it looked great no matter the wood style.

@Kurtroedeger am I allowed to ask what grit you're sanding to and what you're using as a pen finish?

@Brisse

400 grit and right now I'm finishing up a little bottle of shellawax

@Kurtroedeger shellawax is great for starting out. :) I used to love it till I figured out my polish. don't leave any used towels with it on it anywhere flammable though, it can spontaneously combust when the oils in it are drying.

@Brisse I picked up a bottle of Mylands Friction polish to try next and see if I like it more or less than shellawax.
