Mini rant. I really would love a chance to work for Netflix in their dubbing department. They have a small group of actors that seem to only be able to talk in the same cadence and range regardless of the scene. They are not voicing any emotions. I've watched a LOT of their in house dubbed shows, and it's always the same group of actors, and it would just take a little bit of good direction to get them to act better. Like, fucking hell. They spend money to release mediocre.

@sentientdessert Their dub of Dark is insufferable... I've heard better anime English dubs.

@theunabeefer The irony is their anime dubs are better than funimation most of the time. But it is like their dubbing departments are different for live action shows.

I watch with closed captions and a lot of their shows the captions don't match the dialogue. A few. Words here and there, but noticable. Then on anime that originated in non-english area, you can tell they are using a computer to generate the closed captions and no editing is going on. It especially messes up names that sounds like English words.
