I was 10 years old when #JFK was assassinated, the first stake in the heart of my youthful innocence. Fortunately, my parents ensured that we never turned away from the news of the day. Indeed, their perspective gave me the strength to weather much worse things to come nationally and internationally. I worry, though, that our collective lost innocence is taking a dreadful toll on children - and adults - today.
