History gives us several precedents, for example:
In 1932, Hoover sent in the army to round up veterans camped out in shanty towns around DC. Tanks armed with machine guns rolled through DC to roust the protestors. (2/x)
Most of us know that FDR ordered 112,000 Japanese-Americans rounded up during WW2 into internment camps. They had done nothing wrong other than they were Japanese. They lost their liberties and their properties. George Takei is a survivor and often speaks about it. (3/x)

"Operation Wetback" was Eisenhower's program to round up Hispanics and dump them across the Mexican border. Some of those detained died while in custody due to sunstroke or disease; how many is unknown. (4/x)

Authoritarians gain power by people allowing them to have power until they are powerless to stop them.
Who is going to allow that? that is all that matters in the next 4 years
@WordsmithFL @Kinnison Trump got a little less than 50%. That's not a popular mandate.
It is about Keys of power. The election only decides who is going to be elected. Other people get to decide how much power the President gets.
SCOTUS, Judges, Military leaders, congress, Inspector Generals, Governors, and even world leaders, etc.
Ceeding that power is not a given. Look at who gives him power, then we will know. It isn't just SCOTUS
Two years and although he'll say otherwise, he will be a lame duck president.
The cases should be handed to SCOTUS ASAP.
Let them rule on if he should have a third term...
I dare them to try and give it to him...
(I mean if he ever does take the oath again and I'm not so sure he will. See my poll on the matter.)
Not to be cold about it, but I don't think he'll live until 2028. His sclerotic cholesterol-clogged arteries will take care of that.
My worry is that if Stinky becomes unalive that sets off a chain of events that can be even scarier.
JD Vance who is just Peter Thiel's puppet gets to select a dark horse VP that a GOP congress will fall over themselves to confirm, then just be one step away from the FedSoc having their hand picked candidate as President with out a single voter having a say in it.
@Kinnison I really don't know what to expect with Vance. He seems entirely amoral. He's never been a governor or run anything where he had to stake his career on a political position.
I don't think he's inclined to have the US military in the streets arresting people, but I'm sure he has his own agenda.
@Kinnison "Who is going to allow that?"
The majority of the US electorate just did. #Trump was quite open about what he intends to do. The majority are perfectly okay with it.
