over 15 billion light years AWAY, and that light took over 15 Billion years to reach JWST
@Kinnison 300 million years old means it was created 300 million years ago. 300 million years post big-bang means it was created 13.5 billion years ago. That's a big difference.
@Eridani No. It is all relative The LIGHT from the galaxy is over 15 billion years old and we are observing it when the universe was 300 million years old (after the big bang)
@Kinnison I think you misread that. It dates from 300 million years AFTER the big bang, which was about 15 billion years ago. Cool article.
