My uncle died in April 2020 and we just got to have his life celebration, in the UK. He was a Quaker and we had it at the Quaker meeting house he attended in Cornwall. I'm super impressed with their whole deal. Attraction not promotion, no proselytizing, live in peace, god is within, no dogma, enjoy the teachings of any religion--so much simple, divine spiritual wisdom.

@KathyValentine

Yes The Quakers have a lot to teach us all.

When I was teaching beginning meditation, the local Quaker meeting house was available and welcoming. After a few talks, I decided to hang out there for a few "meetings"...
Was surprised to find that most folks there had more experience in silent contemplation, than many folks I met on Buddhist retreats.

@corlin I honestly will check Quakerism out more if I ever feel need for a group of like minded peaceniks in search of quiet contemplation
