While the media certainly makes it seem, with their breathless announcements ("another pol comes out against Biden!") like there's a swelling movement to replace the President, I don't actually get the impression that the campaign is getting any traction where it counts.
Because there's only one person they need to convince, and that's Joe Biden. And playing this game out through the media is exactly the wrong way to do that, as I get the impression he's not a huge fan.

I've been wondering if the attacks on Biden will lead to a new party being formed for 2028. How do supposed democrats win back trust after this whole debacle?
@KGinKS @DavidSalo there is not a huge movement in Congress to replace him. The media is motivated by $$$. The polls are not indicative this far out and beside, their methodology and target audiences have been broken for quite some time. Things will continue as usual for Democrats in 2028. What I think we will see is the formation of a new conservative party made up of the remnants of the GOP, libertarians, etc. This is nothing but good for progressives.
