tl;dr Many don't realize that they live in a political bubble, so they find it incomprehensible that anyone would ever vote for anyone in the opposing party. Don't be that person.

@John_Scotus I get out alot and talk to tons of people. These seem like the opinions of people who don't get out a lot.
@Miamoex My point is that they are people you don't know and haven't talked to. You are correct in one sense, however: their fears are largely illusory. They are reacting to what they see on TV and horror stories being peddled on social media, on Fox News, and on local news programs ("If it bleeds, it leads!") and saying, "I don't want that in my community or in my schools!" But none of their fears are things they have experienced firsthand.
