The camera was mounted on an a lamp post by US Geological Survey scientist studying storm surge.

Thought you might like to know that's not miami nor #Milton.
That footage was taken in 2022 during Hurricane Ian and I believe it the area was Ft Meyers. The red house featured had a couple and 2 dogs that were rescued after the home was swept away clinging to lamp poles.
The USGS scientist that set up the storm surge camera, shared the story in a PBS special that I watched.
