Please remember that if you see a daytime raccoon they are most likely either pregnant or out looking for food and water while the babies are asleep in the den. Raccoons aren't nocturnal.

@Jeber nope. At least where I live there hasn't been a case of rabies in a raccoon in 70+ years. It is far more likely it's a pregnant raccoon.
