This guy tried offing himself again. I looked up to see him upside down in his house, coal black beard, flailing. Somehow, he got himself upside down, and couldn't get upright, cuz his foot was kinda caught under his climbing log.
Sooooo glad I was home to help him. Owning a special needs dragon isn't for the faint of heart! I can't even bring myself to think what may have happened if this occurred while I wasn't home.
He's fine, now, but my heart is still racing.
@JeSsA "Cute" is a useful survival trait, including as a backup when you're missing another. ; )
@AskTheDevil Ohhh isn't that the truth!!
@JeSsA I believe it is! : )
Is it unusual for him to lay on his back like that? Does that cause him to stop breathing? Or is he fainting?
@QueenOfEverything they don't normally lay on their backs, it's not a natural thing. They can breathe, but shouldn't be on their backs an extended amount of time. The pics I posted, he's actually more "standing" he's vertical, being held up by my legs. Definitely shouldn't be flat out on their backs like he was
Got it. I didn’t think they spent time on their backs. Actually, most of my cats don’t spend time on their backs… never if they’re congested bc they can’t breathe as well.
@QueenOfEverything kind of like me when I'm sick!
@QueenOfEverything he yeeted himself off the couch the first time, a few days ago. Landed on his back. Today, it appears he might have slid off his structure ungracefully, and he got partially twisted upside down, and with his neurological disorder, his leg didn't have the strength to right himself, and he was just stuck
