This guy tried offing himself again. I looked up to see him upside down in his house, coal black beard, flailing. Somehow, he got himself upside down, and couldn't get upright, cuz his foot was kinda caught under his climbing log.

Sooooo glad I was home to help him. Owning a special needs dragon isn't for the faint of heart! I can't even bring myself to think what may have happened if this occurred while I wasn't home.

He's fine, now, but my heart is still racing.

@JeSsA Oh my goodness, he's like the suicidal goldfish in the movie 'Amelie'! 👀 You need to have a firm talk with him!
P.S. Hope you're feeling better since the last time we talked! 🙂

@Christmas_Snow I am, thank you. Some residual crud, but better than I was for sure!

@JeSsA Yeah yesterday was a big leap for getting rid of the bulk of congestion for me, but i still can't hear fully and i sound a bit too 'nasal-y' for my liking!

@JeSsA In that second photo his facial expression looks like one of the caught crooks in the Scooby Doo Mysteries ('And i would've gotten away with it, if it weren't for you kids!' 🤭).
I bet he's also thinking that his hands would totally be on his hips right now if they were only long enough. 😁🙃

@Christmas_Snow bahahaha you're totally right! He absolutely would! He is SO full of personality

@JeSsA "Cute" is a useful survival trait, including as a backup when you're missing another. ; )

@JeSsA

Is it unusual for him to lay on his back like that? Does that cause him to stop breathing? Or is he fainting?

@QueenOfEverything they don't normally lay on their backs, it's not a natural thing. They can breathe, but shouldn't be on their backs an extended amount of time. The pics I posted, he's actually more "standing" he's vertical, being held up by my legs. Definitely shouldn't be flat out on their backs like he was

@JeSsA

Got it. I didn’t think they spent time on their backs. Actually, most of my cats don’t spend time on their backs… never if they’re congested bc they can’t breathe as well.

@QueenOfEverything he yeeted himself off the couch the first time, a few days ago. Landed on his back. Today, it appears he might have slid off his structure ungracefully, and he got partially twisted upside down, and with his neurological disorder, his leg didn't have the strength to right himself, and he was just stuck
