One question! As I'm busy trying to catch up with things, I am disturbed by the fact that the election was called before every single mail in ballot was counted! Am I missing something?
@Spagesgallo1 When the votes that are already counted are enough for that person to win, they call the election for that person.
Like, if there's a million votes, and 900,000 are counted, and one person has 850,000 votes, there's only one who could possibly win even if you count the rest.
The electoral college muddles that up a teensy bit.
I know, but what about the mail in ballots?A lot of people voted that way. Some states that is the only option. That's what I'm speaking to. I know that I'm splitting hairs about this. Maybe I'm in the denial phase of my grieving. As for the Electoral College...FUCK THEM! Whoever gets the most votes wins. End of story. Well too late now. What's done is done, until we regroup and organize.
@Spagesgallo1 What I'm trying to get across is that it is possible to have so many ballots _already counted_ that the ones left to count (including mail-in) even if every single one was for the other person, it wouldn't be enough.

@Spagesgallo1 It would be very difficult to fake a loss of millions of ballots, when we have a system that catches even tiny numbers of wrong submissions. A lot of things would have to have been subverted for these results to be fake.
Maybe they were, but it looks like less people voted, but more of them that did voted for Trump.
We stayed home, and a lot of them did too, but enough showed up on their side that we lost.

Yes, we've always had battles to fight. But I think it is much worse now than in the 20th century. Wayyyyy worse! We've lost so much and it's just the tip of the iceberg. We have regressed not progressed!

I disagree.. after living through the last half of the 20th century.. I remember Strom Thurmond, Dixiecrats, KKK active terrorism, Lynchings.. riots by white parents in the south and BOSTON over a brown face showing up at their "good" schools, brown folks being beaten and slaughtered by cops, to the point where they had to start the Black Panthers.. multiiple assasinations, drafts of poor/brown to fight our Game of Thrones style war in VietNam, that is just starters.

Excellent points! The 20th century really was a shit show! Thank you for this somber reminder. Sadly, the 21st century is taking us right back to some of the horrors and atrocities of the 20th century.
