I was raised until the age of 18 in upstate NY. I listened to Canadian radio, thats how close to the border I was.

I became an economic refugee when monied interests and right wing politicians decided to attack unions. They aggressively attacked unions in what is now called the rust belt.

My father moved us to Texas. It worked out well for me professionally, though I loathe just about everything about this state and its people.

I have grandchildren now, Texans.

Still, I want to go home
