@razorbunz Just hoping the power lines don’t come down!

@JK ughhhhh same here. we were dark for six days after the storm in late august. i am not psychologically prepared to do that again for a while.

@razorbunz Good lord! These are days I regret that I haven’t gotten a generator. I live in a small Oakland County town, so no one rushes to repair our power when it goes out.

@JK yeah, i think the wife and i are getting each other a generator for xmas. My next door neighbors had one running and were saintly enough to run us an extension cord so after day 3, we at least had wifi and could charge our devices without sitting in the car for hours. Being able to stream The Simpsons was invaluable to our mental states. They are absolutely worth the investment.
And yeah, i know it sucks for you guys up in OC to always be last on the list. At least it's beautiful up there!

@razorbunz Yeah, I’m not a city person. Lived in a big city in Japan for two years and that’s hell for an introvert! Although the people are absolutely lovely. Guess my holiday gift to myself should be a generator! Home ownership is not for the weak.

@JK lol you ain't lying!
Also i'd love to hear about your time in japan sometime. We spent five days in Tokyo right before the world went to hell and despite it being total sensory overload, i absolutely fell in love with it. I feel like i'd need two years to even see half of what i wanted to see.

@razorbunz Ahhh Tokyo is the tip of the iceberg! If you go again, visit Nara in August during the Obon holiday. It’s magical. But it is HOT.

@JK oh wowwwww i just looked up pics. Magical truly is the only word for that.
