Less than a week later, my husband’s phone also died. This is the 4th time.
Apple tried to blame the data on our phones being corrupted, so trying a totally fresh start with no backup. I told them we did that.
They blamed our chargers, which were all Apple brand. I told them we already had new ones.
Then. They looked me in the eye and told me there was something wrong with the outlets in my house. Unfortunately, the first time this happened to my husband, he was in a fucking hotel in Ohio.
@Angieinchains something is definitely off. As an owner of an iPhone I have not experienced anything like this. My first thought was the current in your home, but sounds like you rules that out?
@JGNWYRK yeah. And we’ve always had iPhones. It never impacted any other phone we’ve had, or my work phone. Or any other chargeable device in the house.
Other people online seem to have similar issues with this particular phone, and sounds like it’s potentially a software thing. But the issue is, we plug our phones in, walk away and it’s dead. So we can’t even do a software revive because we don’t realize the issue until it’s too late.
@Angieinchains what model? I’m on the 13.
@Angieinchains tell them you want an iPhone 14 (or 13) on them. Or call your attorney general? 🙄. Sorry. Sounds like a major PITA.
@JGNWYRK I might call their customer service on Monday. Haven’t decided. Not sure it would do anything.
At this point it feels like we’re just waiting for our phones to go out again.
