Missouri voters have decided in favor of a ballot initiative (Amendment 3) legalizing the possession, cultivation, and licensed retail sale of cannabis for those ages 21 and older. The vote marks the first time that voters in a mid-western state have ever decided in favor of a citizens’ initiative legalizing marijuana for adult use.

@Kenneth_Leonard_Kirk There were some issues with the amendment, such as the licensing will be mostly limited to those who already have medical marijuana licensing (which was a messed up process that favored those with political connections), but I voted Yes because it’s probably the only chance we had to make it legal in our state. The GOP state leg would never make it legal, & they’ve also changed the voter initiative rules to make it harder for these types of initiatives to get on the ballot
