We all get by with a little help from our friends, my dear ex. 😱😏

@InUnfunky @Bix @Bobk37 @tgraph52 @CinnamonGirlE @codeWhisperer @Mfieck

I appreciate you having my back. ❀️

Bixie, I might not like every band you post, but I always enjoy discovering the new music you introduce me/us to. 😊

Thanks for giving them a try. My taste in music is wide. For years, I ignored how much I love pop songs. So, that is one of my kicks now.

I get obsessed by love for a genre, and I try to beat it to death, so I can move on. For a few years, I was collecting original western swing, then 1960's honky tonk, then King Crimson.

I like the John Wetton version best.

He was a killer bass player and singer. I saw him with the band U.K. in Boston in 1978.
He made that P bass sound mean, loved it.

I listen to music similarly. I get stuck on one thing and do it until I am foundered and then move to the next genre. Rock and roll is number one, but I like pop, some country, bluegrass even, learning about jazz and I even enjoy classical at times.

No opera. No hip-hop or rap. Although I have listened to some rap with one of my sons.

@CinnamonGirlE @Bix @JoyfullyDazed @InUnfunky @Bobk37 @codeWhisperer @Mfieck @Charles_Hawtrey

my son has presented me with some hip-hoppy-rap stuff that isn't completely terrible but it's not something I ever seek out. He was into the graffitti scene years ago and knew some people.

@tgraph52 @Bix @JoyfullyDazed @InUnfunky @Bobk37 @codeWhisperer @Mfieck @Charles_Hawtrey
Yes, it's been a few years. When he was younger. Some of it is okay, as you say. But nothing I seek out for sure, lol.

I'm on the same page, except I'll add rap. I. Just. Can't. I have honestly given it a solid try, but it's not for me.

@JoyfullyDazed @tgraph52 @CinnamonGirlE @Bix @InUnfunky @Bobk37 @codeWhisperer @Mfieck

I hear a short fragment of rap here and there and I think that's really cool but I can't listen to it for any length of time.

@Charles_Hawtrey @tgraph52 @CinnamonGirlE @Bix @InUnfunky @Bobk37 @codeWhisperer @Mfieck

Agreed. I respect everyone's passion for creativity, but a few seconds into rap and I'm done.

I opened for him once during the early 80's, his staff wouldn't let any of us near him. He was very good though, he started out as a bass playing singer. That's a short scale bass.

I have all of Paycheck's 1960s' music that has been released on CD, even his gospel album. The same with Charlie Rich.
