Lol at “I hate water.” 🤣
As some are aware…I work in a kitchen.
There are more than a few days in the summer (many buildings in NE weren’t built with climate change in mind) that my end of the line can reach 140F. 😱🔥
So yeah, I stay hydrated — water, seltzer (no caffeine or alcohol while on the line, obvs), and during spring, summer, early fall…drinks like Body Armor, coconut water, cold soups like gazpacho or vichyssoise even get added.
Will be 55 this summer, so I gotta be careful. Thus much hydration during shifts and a bit of nibbling on salty snacks, fruits, vegs. I’ve only come close to heat exhaustion once — being from FL (summers in S TX from ‘79-‘85) prepared me. 🤓
NP — heal thyself! 🤓
And this stuff, too. I should get an endorsement. 😎
@InUnfunky
I will pick some up and give it a try.
You could dump some of that granola your son gave you into it. Yum. 😉
@InUnfunky
I could!!
More of drink, tho...so watch out.
😎
Be advised as well -- more of that fermented tingle, too. Opened a guava one yesterday at work and had to check the date.
Spoiler (pun) alert -- it was OK.
😉
@InUnfunky
Yikes! Thanks for the warning. I will get only one to start. Pretty sure I had some Kefir at some point. So I kind of remember that.
I learned from craving Chinese, Mexican food or salty snacks, it is my body’s way of saying hydrate me. ASAP

Years ago, I went to the Indy 500. At that time, it was the hottest one on record. I was under the covered area for the race, but walking back later to the vehicle, I got too hot and almost had heat exhaustion. Ever since then, I have not been able to deal with it as effectively. I don't help myself by not being hydrated enough. I know all these things. I am not a good patient. 😂
