Anybody here doing ? I plan on watching "Oppenheimer" either Saturday or Sunday, but I'll give "Barbie" a miss.
I really liked "Fat Man and Little Boy", especially the way Paul Newman portrayed Gen. Grove.

I did indeed go to see last night. I think it's worthwhile. I mentioned Gen. Groves previously. He's portrayed by Matt Damon in this one, and comes across well. The main problem with this film is, when someone compresses 13 years of history into a 3-hour film, some hard choices have to be made about what gets included. I say they could have spent much less time on the security clearance issue.

Not an Oppenheimer expert but have a basic background knowledge of the Manhattan Project peeps. Need to read "American Prometheus" now, as well.

That said, as a flick I enjoyed the hell out of it -- was a throwback to when Hwood made movies with good actors and a compelling story, however embellished and/or selectively told. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
