Well, it's a day here today: I have both a plumber & an ISP tech here doing repairs & installation; the T-birds are screaming through the air doing practice right now; & I just discovered a large nest of bald-faced hornets in my hard. Somehow I don't think I'm going to get much work done today...

Not feeling great about the hornets. They're beneficial insects & I'd rather not remove the nest if I don't have to; but they also built right on our property line & I've already been stung once. If they weren't so close to where people are actively moving around (they're right next to the driveway), I'd just leave them alone.
@Impious_Jade when we moved in to our house 5 years ago a wasp nest in the eve of our roof. I felt awful calling the exterminator but our back deck and yard were unusable.
