OK I just read up a bit & learned that a Congressional investigation committee doesn't have the power or authority to bring criminal charges itself. It can recommend such to the DOJ after an investigation is complete, however. After that, the ball is in the DOJ's court. #Jan6thCommittee
Given that Merrick Garland is currently head of the DOJ, I'm optimistic that there will be further charges.
