OK, so I'm all up on C-19 & shingles, pneumonia, & this season's flu. Had MMR as a kid, TdaP a while back, could probably stand a Td booster...

Probably wouldn't hurt to get a Hep B vax either, tho' risk factors are low for that one.

I never got the smallpox vaccine.

It was considered eradicated in the US by the time I was born (early 1970s), so I never got it.

But I pretty much have stayed on top of the vaccine schedule for a person of my age, born when I was born, with the comorbidities I have. Mainly because vaccines fucking WORK, & I'm not interested in either getting sick with some awful bullshit, or passing awful bullshit along to other people.

@Impious_Jade
And neither am I !
So far so good
Am with you all the way !

@Impious_Jade @Eviestorm I was born in 1960. I had all the basic childhood diseases and vaccines including polio and smallpox. My stepdad was stationed in Germany for 3 years (USAF); we had to get more shots before we left the country. When I started nursing school, I had to get an MMR booster because I couldn't access my shot records. I'm vaccinated and have had three boosters. I still wear a mask and practice social distancing as much as possible in order to protect myself and others.

@emerging_clarity @Eviestorm This is the way. (The masking & vaxxing & boosting, I mean, not the getting-all-the-childhood-diseases thing...)

I never got measles, mumps, rubella, any of it. The only significant childhood disease I got was chickenpox, and now they have a vaccine against it. Science rules!

@Impious_Jade @Eviestorm

It is awesome! My kids had chickenpox but got vaccinated against everything else. I'm glad they didn't get all those other illnesses.
